Potentially silly question...

I have Civ 5 on Steam, downloaded via said app. The retail disk version will be Steam dependent, and fully compatible with the downloaded-via-Steam version, won't it?

I'm pretty certain this will be the case, just thought I'd double check.

I e-mailed gamestation.co.uk about it the other day, and the woman who responded said, "Sorry, but we can't help you with this query, our store staff are very knowledgeable and will be happy to help you". Astonished, I could only ask this person why she couldn't help, and was it because she was just a cleaner or something.

Anyway, help appreciated thanks!

Yes, Vanilla and G&K both use Steam regardless of version(box or digital), for Windows that is.

I would say yes because you could actually just enter the code and download the expansion; you don't need the disc to install.

Of course, like Empire Total War's DLC. Buy the disk, get it home, open the case and find the content isn't actually on the disk, it's the printed line on the inside of the case.

Log into Steam, type in said code and Bob's your uncle.

Thanks for that!
