I'm unable to access internet games using any of the suggestions here about correctly creating an account, setting permissions with firewalls, reinstalling and repatching. I noticed something said somewhere about college wi-fi connections being the problem since the user doesn't have access to all the settings that would need to be changed to allow the game to work. Could this be the problem even though other online games work? Is there a way to find out for sure if my connection is the problem? I've also seen people talk about opening ports but aside from the fact that this hasn't been necessary for any of my other games, I don't know how to do this with Norton anyway. All I've found is a list of allowed apps, of which Civ4 and Warlords are already members. Is there a way to open ports in Norton? Everywhere I look says the game is supposed to work fine on Vista and everything except multiplayer does, so I don't think Vista is the problem...any help is appreciated.
