I'll preface by saying that I am starting from zero modding experience, so any help is appreciated. I've searched for resources to learn how to implement this idea, but have come up with none so far. If the topic has already been covered elsewhere, feel free to point me in the right direction.

The concept of the idea is to calculate what-if production build times in the build menu. For example, say you want to build a factory and you have the technology to build it. You also have many other potential build options, and are curious to see the effect the factory's extra production, if you were to build it, would have on other build turn times. To display the build turn times accounting for the extra factory production, you can mark a what-if check-box.

If any of this sounds doable, or even parts of it, where can I start learning how to implement this? Again, any help is appreciated. Thanks!
