PS4 Hot seat - purchasing units

The game wont let us purchase units with gold in this mode

Also i cannot purchase missionaries with faith(my religion and holy site is all set up)

Anyone know why this is or of there is a work around?

You cannot buy units with gold/faith if your city center (and encampment/holy site) already have a unit of the same type. Try moving the unit out of the city before you buy.

For some reason the option wasn't even available on the screen at all

I ended up having to uninstall the entire game and all add-onsfrom my system and deleting all my save games then reinstalling

Works fine now, but we had to start over...
