Maybe this is a dumb question...but how do I play my custom mod with someone else's map? I want to play Marla/Scipio's big world map (which is it's own .bic file) but using the units and rules of my custom.bic. Maybe it's a simple answer and I've over looked it...
A related question: Is there an easy way to take part of one .bic and "cut and paste" it into another. Say, for example, I want want to retain my units, terrain etc but want to use the tech tree from another mod, is there a simple way to move the advances portion of the .bic into my custom.bic?? I know about adding the art etc... I just wonder about the list and the values for each entry. Can they be moved easily or do I have to do it by adding one at a time.
Oh! Just thought of another question. Sort of a tangent. Anyone know about Microsoft Works? I was building spreadsheets with all my units charted by age, civ and unit type (early ancient age/Rome/Defense etc) so I could keep the units balanced. I had three .ss format files open when lightning made the power go out for a sec. Now Works won't let me access the files. The error says "can't access the open file you need." Anyone know the answer? I put a great deal of time into those files.
