Hello all...

Sorry if I sound dumb, but... Conquests doesn't over-write the original Civ III the way the old expansion packs modified (and over-wrote) Civ II? I noticed in the main installation directory it just installed into a sub-directory. Added a bunch of other stuff too, but it seems to have left the main game alone. So do I still need to update the original Civ III with it's own update patch, then update Conquests with it's patch, or does the Conquest's patch update both?

Thanks for any light anyone can shed on this. :)

First: welcome to CFC

I'm not sure, but I think the Conquest (C3C) -patch is completely independent from the Vanilla Civ 3 (VC3) patch. Therefore I'm nearly sure updating C3C will not update VC3.
But to be smart: use both the 1.29f VC3 patch and the 1.15 VC3 patch. (some people prefer C3C 1.20 or 1.22, but I hear many many complaints about those patches).

Thanks for the help guys! Either C3C or the patch seemed to do the trick; in any event, both are updated. Sorry for the lag in response, and once again, thanks for the input.

I think when you install C3C it may also patch Civ3 to the lastest patch 1.29.
