Just to begin with, the game runs pretty smooth overall except during the late game. Mainly around turn 150 and up. The bugs that I have been getting are as follows
  1. Cannot assign trader.
    1. When my trade route is up to be renewed. I get route choices window and when I select a destination, it will not allow me to start it. The begin route icon, or whatever it is called is available but I cannot click it. The only way to get it to work is to reload the game from a previous save game. Or sometimes if I go into the research window and back out again it will allow me to assign the trader.
  2. Game voice over and combat sounds stop working.
    1. Basically, during gameplay, the voice over stops working and combat sounds along with other background sounds stop. The music still plays but the rest is either absent or intermittent.

That is about it. Now to get to what you all probably want to know.

My system is running Win 7 Ultimate 64bit.
AMD 810
GTX 560
Creative SB X-Fi sound card.

I run the game at medium settings right now and it runs pretty smooth except for the above problems.

Thank you in advance for any help.

On the first item, what trade route capacity is shown at the top of the screen? You can get this behavior if you previously were a Merchant Republic (which provides +2 trade route capacity) -- when you switch to a different government form, you lose the additional trade route capacity, but the existing routes keep running until they finish, at which point you can only put those extra traders to sleep until you get more trade route capacity. it can also happen if you lose another source of trade route capacity, like ceasing to be suzerain of Carthage (which gives +1 trade route capacity for each encampment), or having a harbor or commercial hub get pillaged, or losing a city with a commercial hub or harbor in a war.

I honestly did not check to see. That is a very good point. I will check it out next time I play, thank you.
