Ranged as support

I don't know if it is possible, but I would love to see a mod where ranged units was support units. Range should be decreased to 1 tile (perhaps siege could be 2).

This would change the combat dynamics, so I guess balance (price/strength) and AI would have to be looked at as well.

Comments on the idea are welcomed.
