One thing that really bothers me in the game, is that in many ways the relationships between civilizations are totally ignored.

This is what it should happen:

- The grievances with a civilization due to an offense to another civ, should not be the same if they hate or like that civilization. Also the relationship with the aggressor civilization should be taken into account, in a lesser way. (If my friend attacks someone I hate, i will have less grievances against my friend than if the opposite happens).

- The amount of resources a Civ is willing to put in an aid request should be related to the relationship the helped and the helper have. (Also, independently, the current bug where AI civs send all their resources to aid request, removing themselves from the game for several turns, should be addressed).

- When attacking a city state, a civ should factor to a degree the relationship they have with the suzerain. They should have increassed preference to attack if the suzerain is an enemy and a decreased preference to attack if the suzerain is their friend.

The concept could be taken beyond, with some civs being more loyal to their friends and others being more selfish. But I would be happy just if the above gets to be part of the game. As it is really basic stuff.

I think the diplomacy would really get much more deep and fun, if this behaviour was added to the AI. As I think, is something a human player factors quite much.

You mean Politics??? Corporative religion, business, call it what you want.

Augsburg were like: let others do war, we do marriages. Civ V got that right.
