I have posted in the past a bit in their forum, which is a friendly place 
0AD is in full 3d (i doubt this has changed) so i could not help much with models, since their own modelling people are very good at pure 3d files (while i am better at specific renders of 3d models i make).
At any rate 0AD is worth a look. Great graphics from the community, and great concept art too... (which has inspired me on occasion)
