I just recently purchased Civ 4 (wish I had pre-ordered) and am already tinkering with the World Tool thing.
What I want to do is lock all civilizations into a certain era so they cannot go past that point. I'm not a very good Civ player and I get overhwhelmed with all of the upgrades, and new technologies I need to do. Because of this, I liked to edit the game so all Civs are locked in a certain era. This allowed me to enjoy Civ 3 a lot more.
Now I've tried editing with the World Editor, but I can't figure out how to remove the technologies that I don't want available. I've also looked through the WBS file with notepad and didn't see anything that would allow me to do this.
I looked at the Modding guide stickied to the forum and that didn't answer my question either. If anybody could help me out here I would be indebted to you!
