norway - trondheim
sweden - stockholm
finland - helsinki
denmark - copenhagen
latvia - riga
barbarian - oslo, st. petersburg, vilnius
(barbarian aren't necessary, specially st. petersburg, it could be too close to helsinki, but if it will not too close plz add)

and some correct placed resources wuld be great
if it's possible i would like to start at 4000 BC with existing town (just builded of course) so no one could move capital cities

btw. what is good tool for making maps? civ4 world editor is very poor

I find the ingame worlbuilder a great tool for mapbuilding. MusX get a terrain map of scandinavia(picture), and get map makin' I think it shoul be of a standard or maybe large size. There are plenty of civs made that would fit exelent in such a map. Vikings would be a must ofcourse. Perhaps different viking settlements. Like norway denmark sweden iceland ect... And russia ofcourse.

It requires some effort to learn how to do a map, I think. But I've begun to realize that once you've learned the procedure with Bmp, Python etc, it does not take much time to create a map. (Pretty much like learning how to ride a bike ) Personally I have to practice much more, and I'm sure there are many out there that could make this map you requested in no-time. I intend to make some Scandinavian and/or northern Europe-maps in due time, but hopefully someone can beat me to it.

Not that I have seen. But I noticed he asked for permission to use the Swedish and the Finnish civs in his scenario.
