Revolution

The leader of this revolution is stepping down because of the strong case the domestic leader has made concerning the impact of the anarchy period. I can see no advantageous time to switch, where we will not be pursuing a wonder or a key technology. Furthermore, while our defense looks sound, I fear our military is somewhat dated so security during anarchy may be questionable.

That doesn't mean someone else can't step up to lead the revolution.

We should move to Democracy, and try to time it just after Smiths and the FP. The only real drawbacks are the stalled production during anarchy (which we should earn back over a few subsequent turns) and war weariness. As for the war question - has anyoneone seen the state of our forces? Best we keep peaceful methinks.

I see no reason to wait for the FP. Its effects will be non-existant during anarchy.

I take your point punkbass2000, I just wanted to ensure that there would be no delay to either the FP or Smiths due to anarchy if we went earlier. These 2 are due for completion in a few turns, if we revolted thereafter they go instantly operational as soon as the new government starts - that's all!

I'll second a revolution after Smith's and the FP.
