Rules.txt problem

Attached is my rules.txt file for a new scenario I am busily creating. I have only edited the rules file once and that was using the ingame editor I added a tech in place of user def tech A and then replaced user def tech A and changed prereq and obosete to No(the way they were)

Now everything is screwed up. As you can see in the file, everything besides the tech has been scooted down 1(manhattan project holds values for the wonder before it and civilopedia entry for wonder before it)

This seems to happen every time I start to edit the rules using the ingame editor. Is there an easy fix? Has anyone else had this problem?

If I can get some help I'll continue on creating my scenario and probably make a thread for it here :)

Oops :o Forgot the attachment!

Here it is:

Use notepad, or some other plain text editor. The in-game editor is know to mangle files when you try to rename things such as units or advances. In your file, the entire @IMPROVE section looks corrupted, so you would need to replace this entire section with the original.

Well, I just started so I'll take my original save and work with that. At least I won't have to reselect the civs LOL. Well, at least I learned a valuable lesson..even if I did waste a few hours of work doing so :(

Look for a thread for the scenario coming soon.

I'm contemplating names for it..it's a little mix of a few ancient rivals. (Rome vs. Babylon, Persia vs. Greece) but there is a catch. Rome and Greece(I believe) are allied against the other two. No communication is possible between the sides either so it's stuck that way. Or at least those are some basic ideas for it :)

EDIT: Oh, and oryx...nice work on the website. I've had it bookmarked for a few mos. now ever since I first thought about scenario creation. I just now noticed the link in your sig :goodjob:
