Running Alpha Centauri on a mac...please help!

Hey, I'm new here and am trying desperately to run Alpha Centuari on a Mac. I have acquired the necessary files, but it tells me I cannot run it due to the classic environment not being supported. Does anyone know how to solve this? I have been looking up alpha centauri and am pretty obsessed with it at this point, so I really would like to figure out how to play it.

Are you using Mac OS X? From memory the Mac version doesn't work on OS X. If you have OS X, I'ld suggest using a virtual machine to play the Windows version (my friend has successfully played Alpha Centuari on an XP virtual machine).

I have next to no Mac experience though, so feel free to correct me peoples!

If you have the windows version you can reboot and play on a boot camp partition, or if you're lazy like me you can use parallels. I play the windows version using Parallels Desktop 6. Runs flawlessly.

I do have a boot camp partition, but I use that through parallels, running windows XP as the operating system.

If you have the mac version then you can follow this guide. (I haven't tried it, I'm just assuming that it will work.)
