Satellite colony & the REF

Satellite colonies: quick question before I find out the hard way...if I establish a colony on another land mass and it gets conquered, will that part of the REF then get transported to my main land mass or do I have to go and hunt them down?

Yes you will have to go over and deal to them, they won't come to you. One solution is to strip that colony of anything useful and give it away before independence.

Argh! That could be a major problem then! Imagine like 2 or 3 King's Regulars perched on a tiny-tiny island 'guarded' by 30 Man-o-war's
