Hi
I don't have time&patience to read through all the threads here in the civ 4 suggestions section, they're too many! Sorry if this idea has been brought up before.

It has occured to me several times already, that the fact that civ3 savegames lack the date&time note is very uncomfortable. I usually play several games at once so I have like ***teen saves. And when I come back to play the game after several days, like tonight, I don't remember which save was the last current one for my civ. It takes up to several minutes to check 2-3 saves (simpler to check the dates in the game dir).
What I mean is that it is sooooo simple to program the date note attached to the save file, as most recent pc games have, and it can save a lot of time. I hope this feature will appear in Civ 4, it is really easy to implement.

Cheers

You do know that you can make Civ3 use the standard Windows file dialog that has date and time on it (and can be sorted)? Oh, you don't? Well, look in your ini file and set/add WindowsFileBox=1

This also lets you rename/cut/copy/paste/move/delete the saves.

edit: I had a typo in the most important word

if you add WindowsFileBox=1 to your ini, what does it do?

It uses the standard Windows File Dialog for loads and saves rather than the one in the game. This gives you a lot more power (at the cost of it not having Civ ambience).
