Okay, i like scenario building. But i am not that great, i need a little (make that a lot of) help.
Question 1: is there anyway to make a city where one doesnt exist without having to manually do it with a created settler? (assuming one is in scenario build mode under CivGold?)

Question 2: how does one go about editing the rules.txt, i cant seem to figure out how to do that

Question 3: is there anyway to alter the affects of wonders?

Question 4: and least relavant, would anyone be interested in a scenario based on south america before and during the Spanish Conquest?

Also i would be more than happy (make that ecstatic) to hear any ideas to use in building scenarios in general.

Question #1: I don't think so, but its not that hard. if you want, you can copy improvements from one city to another.

Question #2: Open up the rules.txt file it really depends on what you want to do in the file. most sectons have a description of what all the numbers and stuff means. make a back up before you begin!

Question #3 Nope, you can only rename them.

Question #4 I probably wouldn't be, (i'm addicted to tanks and artillery and planes and stuff)

go here for great suggestions and tips about building scenarios: http://sleague.apolyton.net/

More questions, is there anyway to eliminate barbarians from having certain units? like the musketeer or elephant?

Question 2: has anyone ever tried simulating bridges by using a terrain type?

Question 3: are there any suggestions as to what civilizations i should use?
So far i have spanish (trapped on cuba for a LONG time to allow growth of south american civs) Aztecs, mayans and some minor tribes.

Question 4: is there anyway to have a civilization appear on the scene several turns into the scenario?

Question 5: is there a way to make a settlers unit that can do anything EXCEPT found cities?

Question 6: is there a way to simulate canals?

i feel mildly

oh, one more quesiton, is there a way to change leaders in the middle of a game? like maybe :king: montezuma into i dont know how about :queen: elizabeth the second?

Hi, Um!

Q1:Try to make them only available to other civs (By researching that technologys for other civs and make them unavailable after that [by selecting No-Preq1 No-Preq2])

Q2:Me.:) :) :)

Q3:I don't know too much about Spanish history.I'm going to search something for you and then I'll tell you something.

Q4:I'm not remembering nothing for that.

Q5:Same as 4

Q6:Change the river terrains.

Q7:I think that that isn't possible.

If you have any doubt, don't think twice... ask it.
