Score Calculation

Is there already a thread somewhere detailing how player score is calculated in BE? Ex: 20 pts for founding a new city, 2 pts for a military unit, etc.. In the absence of a Demographics screen, I'm trying to get an idea of what a player's score means. Especially when everything I have on the trade menu is greater than what they have to offer. One could assume that military, technologies, and number of cities has something to do with it, but I'd like to see specifics if anyone's worked on that already. Thanks!
 
In the listing of Sponsors, top right of the screen, the one which includes all the leaders and Stations. Hover over the score of each leader and you will find out the components of the score, but not how they are calculated. But, you can figure out how some of them are calculated.
 
In the absence of a demographics screen, it's better to compare science rate and gold yield in the diplomatic trade screen than look at score. Looking at available international trade routes for your best cities is another good indicator (5 or 6 in science or money means your city is far behind, 2 or 3 means you're in range, and 0 of corse means you're ahead).

Score was always a poor indicator of how well the player was doing relative to other civs. It assumes the player is playing like the computer which generally isn't a good idea. Good Civ players will usually have a terrible score the turn before they win the game.
 
Good replies. But it makes me question further how the devs set up the score formula. Thanks tho either way - makes sense.

Actually, that isn't entirely accurate. The city that is behind gets the most yield, and the other city gets about half of that. A larger difference means a larger yield for both cities though, and you'll get 0 if the cities are tied (or maybe really close to tied).
