Have any of you heard that memphis is the new hot spot for Rock!
How Seattle was the hot spot in the early 90's Memphis is the Hot spot in the late 90's and going into the 20th century!
With bands like Full Devil Jacket, Saliva, Nickelback, The Union Underground, Beanpole and others Memphis is the rock capital of the world nowadays

I'm glad to live near such a great town!

Memphis has always been very important.
I saw a program talking about a Sun records, that started rock n roll - bands like Jimi Hendrix - Janis Joplin - BB king - man there are JUST SO MANY -- there is a really awesome Museum there to commemorate what happen in Rock in Memphis TN.

Yeah, there has been a lot of good bands coming out of the midwest lately. Two of my favorites, in fact: Chimaira (Cleveland) and Factory 81 (Detroit). But be that as it may, I still miss the good ole Seattle rock days -back when rock was fun but angry (it's way to happy lately).

As far as Memphis, it's always been a big thing in music, even though it was centered around a dead folk hero for about thirty years.

well, the best artist from memphis the last ten years was jeff buckley, but he drowned in the mississipi river when he was sing a led zeppelin song... if you get a better artist then him i´ll give you the rock capitol titel.

BOSTON has got the Oi Punk scene happening like nothing else right now. All those drunken Irish scally cap wearing punks running around singing all those upbeat drinking tunes. If I liked Oi, that's where I'd be.
