I did try... but there's suppsoed to be a way of 'fixing' FW ones so that they will work in MPGE - I did tinker around using ResEdit (on my Mac) but to no avail.
Captain Nemo did release an update to SF with Canadian units and artillery batteries as cities. I'm not sure where you can download it from though... (you could try this site though )
Are you playing it as a Hotseat game on MGE? Thats one of the things that makes it a wierd scen on MGE, its like RF, but not being able to see the enemy moves. Saves alot of time though. SF works fine on my copy of MGE
Yup, certain things regarding the more complex scenarios like SF need to be converted somehow to the thingy's that Macs read. Obviously I don't know alot about Macs. I know Henrik the Swede does alot of Mac re-do's for scenario's, but I think he said he never did SF because it has too many files. Us PC users get a convienient little DOS program that manages our files. Maybe you should bring this up in the Mac forums here or at Apolyton. (I don't even know if there is a Mac forum here!)
I have done a mac conversion of second front, but the problem is exactly the same as with the pc version, it isnt very fun since you have to play it as a hotseat game.
I can send the mac version to you if you want (and maybe even throw in an applescript to manage the files...)

I have yet to find a scenario that I cannot convert (the only scenario I havent converted is TSFE, over 100 files is just too much to be worth the trouble...)
Henrik, is that a Mac version of the 'revised' version of Second Front you have ? The one with the Canadian troops included ? Is it playable in MPGE mode ?
I do have my own Mac conversions of both the original and revised SF scenarios, but the revised version doesn't load because it's not MPGE compatible.... so I can only load the original version
BTW which scenario is TSFE ?? I have about 30+ Mac conversions, and am working on my first mac Civ scenario, but with the advent of Civ 3 it seems almost redundant to be doing this - although the Mac version of Civ3 is still months away.... I wonder what OS Civ 3 will require - I have OS 8.5 - I'm assuming it isn't going to be OS9 or OS X only !!

Since I have played it, I would say that it is very playable with MGE
Just not very fun, as it wont allow you to view enemy moves while the AI is moving.
You can probably use it yourself, change the filetype of the scenario to a hotseat saved game, and load it, works like a charm
Otherwise I could send you my version.

Mac civ 3 will need OS 8.6 or newer as I recal (it might have been lower) on apolyton the mac civ 3 programers are posting I would advice you visit the mac forums there.
I have a database of about 80 scenarios converted for the mac (used to have more but I got rid of them to clear up space).
