Set an end era??

Hello!

You can set the starting era of a game but what about ending era?? I don't mean that I want the game to end earlier, but i'd like to make the tech progress stop before the modern era. I like the historical setting better and I prefer combat when there's a mix of melee and ranged units. Is there any way to disable eras?? There doesn't seem to be any mods that do this

there are some mods that prolong the time spent in each era by increasing there tech costs - I think if you just take the first era that you dont wish to play in, and increase the tech costs to something rediculously high - no one will ever reach it so its will sort of be the same as stopping the game at the previous tech generation.

EDIT - or you could nmod out the ones you dont want to bother with, and have "future-tech" arrive earlier (so you have something at the end to cycle through over and over again)
