So I started a sid game, i don't know why since I haven't even beaten emperor yet. I managed to get a good 4-turn settler factory going and grab some land, but I'm falling behind in techs (obviously). Need help on this game. :D

I hope the attachment thing works.

I would say you have a less than great start for a sid game, but not bad for DG. Not enough shields and lots of not great tiles.

You really do not want to space out that far, makes every thing harder, but worse it cost you to not found on a river twice.

You have 6 workers and 9 towns and so you have many tiles with no road or any improvement being worked. Some of this is also caused by the wider spacing. You just cannot have the capitol pop working tile with no roads and no mine or irrigation.

If you have the 4000BC start over and tighing up and get enough workers out.

thanks. Tighter spacing, more workers, got it.

I usually set production to worker right after I found a city - is that good or bad?

I do that for towns after I have about 10 towns up and if they can make a worker in 10 turns and grow in 10. I would not do that with the first 5 or so towns.
