SMAX Problem with Pods

I hope this part of cfc is still alive, as I really need help with this issue. About a week ago I got smac pretty cheap, and I loved it. So, I went out and got smax. Installed, no problems, loads up fine - however, whenever I play games now in smax I can't play colony pods :eek: I've tried several different combinations of settings, but nothing seems to work.

Have anyone had this issue before?

EDIT: Odder and odder still. Right after posting this I fired up the game once again, and now I could build the pods, but it seems like none of the AI players could.

I assume you mean that before you couldn't build colony pods. This suggests that colony pods became disabled alphax.txt. Maybe due to corruption in the installation process, the colony pod under #UNITS had its tech prerequisite set to DISABLE rather than none. In the subsequent game, did you create a colony pod through the Unit Workshop (maybe the basic unit is still disabled which explains why the AI doesn't build a pod).

Could you post a game where the problem arose (if you still have a save from the original that would be great, but a save where the AI doesn't build colony pods would also be helpful)?

It would also be helpful if you post your alphax.txt file.
