Someone please help me

every time I try to start the game it gets as far as "CHECK XML" and my computer turns itself off. I have replaced my video card and power supply, updated my bios, reinstalled windows, run a virus and spyware check, did the pakbuild thing, and turned off hardware accelleration for the sound with dxdiag. I have also run diagnostics on the hard drive and memory.

this is what I am running
pentium D 2.8 GHz on the intel D845Psn board
XP Pro
ATI Radeon X700
1 GB DDR2
200 GB SATA Hard Drive
400 Watt power supply

I have been trying to get this to work for 2 weeks.

i went through both of those and many other threads on this site. I didn't see any where someone was complaining that the problem actually caused the computer to reboot itself and I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem. This is the first time I have ever had problems running anything on any computer. I am shocked to see the amount of problems people are having. Is this normal when a new game is realeased or did they not do a good job of testing this one?
