Regularly the ambient noise (i.e. the sound of the waves, wind and cicadas/crickets) stutters. It's really annoying and from what I understand it cannot be fixed by changing the sound settings to 16 bit CD quality as suggested in this thread.

My rig:

Gigabyte GA-B150-HD3P
Intel Core i5-6500
AMD Radeon HD 5780
8GB DDR4-2133 DIMM
Creative SB X-Fi Titanium (I've tried it with my onboard sound chip as well)
Windows 7 64Bit

yeah i've got the same problem except everything stutters. the music stops playing entirely too, but this is over the course of playing. it starts out fine

I think I'm onto something: For some reason, the priority of the process 'civilizationvi.exe' sets itself to 'below normal priority'. When I change its priority in the task manager to 'high priority' or 'realtime priority', the stuttering ceases. However, after some time, the priority sets itself back to 'below normal priority' and the stuttering starts again...

After about 40 minutes of playing, at a seemingly random moment, my music will stop playing. From that time on, only ambient sound remains and all temporary sounds like music and event sounds are broken off after a short period of time. This can be fixed by saving and reloading from the main menu, so it seems to be a memory problem of some sort (building up gradually and resetting after fresh start).

Even the sound of my finish movie suddenly stopped while the movie kept going.

It may have something to do with the Mac port (I am playing on a mac), since I don't see anyone complaining about this issue here. But still, quite annoying.
