Space Flight - Hmmm?

I'm not exactly a newbie, but I'm currently working toward a space-flight win (I usually go for straight conquest/domination), and I'm puzzled by something.

I'm running the game with everything up through Conquests, and...I can't seem to build spaceship parts. I've got Space Flight, I've got aluminum, I've got Apollo built. I've got uranium too. But none of my build lists show any of the first three SS parts.

Am I missing something? Do I need something else to build the first three basic parts? Or is it just something real simple I'm missing.

If you mean the modules, you also need Satellites. F10 will show you the things you must have. Also you can only build one part per city. The last thing to check is that the city you are trying to use has those resources in the city box. Look in the view.

You have to have Space Victory selected as a winning condition at the beginning of the game otherwise you can't start to build the space ship.

Space Victory (all Victory conditions) are selected. Or...are they? Looks like they got switched off. Does playing a Conquest game change the defaults for the next New Game you start? Seems to be the case...

Yep, the default rules will be whatever they were for the last Conquests scenario you played. So, it pays to take a look at them when starting a new standard game, and change them back the way you like.
