I have Homeworld 2, though I havn't played it in a whiel due to lazyness sicne I need to reinstall it (screwed up a mod installation).

Also I recently acquired Freelancer. I've been wondering what are some good mods for Freelancer? Like, the REALLY REALLY good ones.
EDIT: http://www.lancersreactor.com/t/download/default.asp?sort=dlcount&game=Freelancer
Found that, going by most DlLs tends to bring up good (and popular) mods.

Feel free to mention other space games here.

If you are prepared to pay 15 bucks a month, then Eve online is the best space game out there... This is probably also one of the most complicated games in existence and the learning curve is very steep (the tutorial, which only teaches you the basics, takes about 3 hours to do), but it is very rewarding once you get into it. Find yourself a good corporation and try to get into some pvp - the large fleet battles can be very exciting, including things such as sieging space stations and capital ship battles. My only complaint is that ship control is all done using your mouse - takes a bit of getting used to, but after a while you will realise this is the best method of control, especially for larger ships. There is a 14-day free trial, but if you really want to get into the game it probably takes a few months. Download it at http://www.eve-online.com/.

The Freespace series is pretty cool although it is purely combat orientated.

Starcraft! And the upcoming Starcraft II. Too bad the latter ain't coming out till next year (so the powers that be project). Who knows? Maybe a miracle will happen and it comes out by Christmas? Though of course, that'll probably cause for a lesser than perfect game or whatnot, either way, I'd wait like most people have for 10 years! And it would be nice to have it released during the 10 year anniversary of the original. :)

Galactic Civ is fun.
