Some interesting stats, not very many countries don't have someone using steam. The average speeds in S. Korea and Japan put most of the world to shame, and while I haven't added it up might be more than all of Africa's ISP's averages combined.

The USA accounts for over 21% of Steam's traffic, Russia 9.6%, Germany 6.5%, UK 5%, Canada 3%. California accounts for 2.8% of all traffic by itself!

Idk, california is by far the most populated US state, about 1.4x as many people as Texas and also has a lot of tech hubs and demographics of people who would use steam a lot. I'm not that surprised. I am more surprised that a state like michigan (my home state) would have about a third the downloads of california despite having 1/4th the population and would have 75% the bandwidth usage of texas despite being 2.5x smaller population. Probably cus it's freakin cold here we have to stay inside and play video games!

Also not surprised one bit that at&t has the worst download rates in the US. They spam me with ads and I tell them every time their tech is inferior to cable line. They brag now about speeds cable companies were delivering 5 years ago and they are the same price! It's so stupid.
