Sue for peace with the Iroquois?

Should we declare peace with the Iroquois? We can map making, territory map, and 9 gold. So the question is, do we want peace, if so, what do we want with it?

In my (semi)professional opinion, sue for peace and get everything that we can.

I have looked over the trade myself and it seems that it is possible to snag there Map Making, 9g, and a TM from them in exchange for peace .

I would vouch for a peace with the Iroqious here with the maximum possible gains. Yet, 9 gold and map alone is too little, map making must be part of it. If they do not want to play along, I would like to see Iraqouis blood smear our lances and train our troops on them in exchange for the barbarians.

They would definitely agree with mapmaking, 9g, and territory map. Although I would prefer their world map.

Well, with a deal from the Romans, we might see what they know via the Roman World Map. (But it involves giving the Romans Poly...)

Most of what we don't know of the SE Coast should be in the Iro Territory Map. Go for it!

9g isn't much considering we're losing 7 each turn. But still it's better to make peace than start using our resources and turning attention to the conflict when we could be using these resources for other purposes maybe even exploration.

It doesn't look like there's really an argument against getting everything we can with the peace treaty. Peace with all the extras is the way to go.

Map Making is also easily acquired through other trades. The Iro's are hurting and we can safely increase the hurting. They will donate more techs and perhaps even cities. Why give up our advantage this cheaply ?

Really. By the time we get to Allegheny, Potentate Chieftess will become Queen Chieftess. And these cities could easily be cut off by Cultural expansion by Babylon.

Let's let the Iros rot in peace in their corner of the continent. We will have their land soon enough...

Because they could possibly sign military alliances with Babylon and Rome against us. Besides, I'd rather build up our infrastructure right now than to mass troops to stop a few trickling units from Iroquois.

Citizen: Go for peace, we need a solid nation before taking out others. Sure, we have the ablility to make them suffer (Iroqs), but Rome and Babylon can still build cities in our area.

Governor: I would much rather build a few more cities, temples, libraries, workers, and maybe even get a wonder going. I will be building offense units, but I need to keep it limited, as we are spending more than earning. As a conservative in spending (as in real life), this is bad enough, so we need the cities to support such troops. This province will also need funding, once we hit Monarchy. Perhaps the Culture Ministry can enlighten us with what to build (so I'm not stepping on any toes)?
