Hello.
I am a Civ series veteran. However, when I was to play Civ4 for the first times, I did not feel so at ease. Even, after a couple of games, I was disappointed because of two things: the difficulty and the apparent lack of innovation. In fact, the second was triggered by the first, as I was playing at lower difficulty: I have been thinking that the game was way too hard... si I played it too easy. Hence the feeling of lack of challenge, for example. Now things improved themselves in two steps: the first was to be aware of how to deal with expansion and city maintenance. The second was to increase the difficulty. Now, as the second was triggered by the first, I think that it would be good for players like me and others to be warned of the main new concept of Civ4: city maintenance. To do it, I suggest that an option, activated by default, to warn and to advice us about the city maintenance cost each time we are on the way to create a new city. I mean not just click on the advisor screen! I'm talking about something visible on the main screen.
This is just my two cents. I guess if such an option would have been there, I would not have done so much time to be pleased with this great game.
