When you start a game, save it with this name: multi. Then reload
the game (multi.SAV). You should be able to see the whole map and all resources PLUS when you right-click on an enemy's city you can zoom to their city and change their production :D But that's not the point. I started playing and I prevented one of my enemy's city from building units. Then I sent in a warrior and conquered their one and (supposedly) only city. But to my surprise, a new city of theirs popped out from nowhere (I'm ABSOLUTELY sure it wasn't there before) containing 2 spearmen, 1 archer & 1 settler (or something like that) and 10000 gold! Isn't that cheating? Okay, I know I'm cheating too, but maybe they do it even if I don't use the "multi" cheat? Can someone tell me what is this about?

The AI re-spawned (re-started). I guess this was a feature in previous civ games, also. If you download 1.29f (the latest patch), you have the option to turn off AI respawning, but you won't be able to use the multi cheat anymore......

What level was this?

qanda,

You need to patch you game up to the V1.29 level and then READ the readme files for the patches between the original game version you have all the way up to V1.29.

It's a lot to read, but it will at least bring you up to minimum speed on the game features that have been fixed or changed.

Starting with V1.21 (improved in V1.29) you can turn the respawning feature off in the game setup. (Yes, I think it was stupid that Firaxis ste this to be default to on because most people have no clue what the feature will doo until it happens as in your case. Trust me, its even worse on the difficulty levels).

(NOTE: that the two o's in doo is correct for this feature) ;)

On higher difficulty levels the ai gets a lot of extra units. The best unit they get is a settler.

I'm sorry. I must have misread the thread title. Who is it that cheats horribly?

Yes but qanda only does it to make things fair, he's not the one that started it afterall.:)
