Two nights ago I had a dream, in that dream I saw a great eagle with golden wings and a silver beak. The eagle swooped down beside me and spoke to me in a soft angelic voice. The eagle spoke to me about the future challenges that face the great nation of Fanatica. He told me that the only way we could overcome these great troubles was with the help of a strong sovereign leader. A leader that is pure of heart and is of noble birth. The joyous fowl said that I should warn the fanatica people of these troubles that come. Yesterday I attempted to warn the people of Fanatica but this was seen as treason and I was arrested.

This is a citizens group dedicated to the building of a strong Fanatica and to the creation of a Monarchy to control our nation though the up and coming trouble. I ask that any people who wish to join this group do so and that one day Fanatican can take its place in the world as rulers.

Welcome to the Monarchists.
lets plan a coup or something (jokes)

yes we should support each other, but are we allowed to? i think there are a whole pile of laws against it

Well those laws probably never work. Im sure there are no such laws :):crazyeye:

2. Citizen groups may lobby for candidates and agendas.
b. Political parties (slate polling) are not permitted.
:egypt: :egypt:

cool, what's "slate polling" mean anyway?

Something political about voting :)

Slate polling is a group of people getting together and saying Citizen A is running for office X, Citizen B is running for office Y and Citizen C is running for office Z.

In part, Citizens A, B, and C will vote for each other. They will also campaign as a group, saying "Vote for the Joe Snuffitelli Party!" "Snuffitelli stands for snuff - Vote for us, and it's free snuff for everyone!"

There was a discussion a while back about this with some very strong arguements against it - basically an organized group could literally take the game over and prevent new citizens from having a chance at election.

Thanks Ravensfire for explaining.

Hey i noticed your signiture saying "vote new blood"and so then i wrote it in Berry province election thread. Then today i was reading some post's and i noticed these quotes:
we need fresh blood.
by cheiftess
and
new blood would be great.
by Noldodan
Then i came across this guy octavian who had some stuff to say-
It's always nice to have fresh blood.
This is where he said it
Then i found :( this while i was reading someones signiture
Vote CivGeneral for experiance

come on everybody

VOTE NEW BLOOD!!!

New blood at times can mean poor experience

Obviously, being new i have no experience at the Democracy game. I would say "poor experience" just no experience. But i can't get any by posting about kings (i think a king would be fun)
and such. As far as civlizations goes i have plenty of experience. I have been playing it for ages.

Blah

Shalashaska, if I get a position at Internal affairs you can be my deputy or something (if there are). I don’t got much experience at DemoGame also, so we both need to learn it better.

By the way the New blood idea came from eyrei's reply on Peri's post so its not me to thank for this blood all other the forums :)

lol. i thought the deputy was the person with the second most votes

No, they are not. After some discussion, it was decided that Deputies are appointed by the elected official. Within 24 hours, that appointment may be challenged by any citizen through a refusal poll.

From Section H of the Code of Laws:
Code:
  2. Deputies
    a. Each elected office in the Executive and Legislative
branch shall have a Deputy. This Deputy is appointed
        by the office holder.
      1. Any citizen may post a refusal poll within 24 hours
          of the appointment.
    b. No elected official may be appointed a Deputy.
    c. A citizen may only be appointed to one Deputy position.
It's a great way to help bring new citizens some experience. There are several citizens that go out of their way to have deputies without experience.
