i really love the jaguars. with raging barbs and honor policy you can use them to farm culture and get really early policys. you can make a composite bowmen rush with jags or wait untill steel or gunpowder and enjoy your beasts. Jags also make good scouts because of their woodsman promo. They can even complete city-state quests on their own!

It's easy: Pracinha. It's far more powerful than every unit listed here. I.e. Pracinha against Battering Ram? Ownage.

So far, IME, the gattling guns upgraded from longbowmen. But I will try what CornPlanter above said... plying my 1st game as Brazil and still not far enough in tech for the pracinhas.

But Pracinhas lose against Panzers. They should be in that poll too!

If the Legion's road-building carried over when upgraded, I'd give it a solid vote for most versatile unit. Versatility is power for my game style. Now that I see that Chu-Ko-Nu gatling gun post, though, this noob's gonna go have fun with China!

Should've included Carolean in your list, probably the best UU from the warrior line.

Still my pick is Keshik. Its really the only thing Mongolia has going for it and its still considered a pretty good civ, that should be enough proof that its a good unit.

Battering rams are crazy, especially if you haven't been paying attention to the Mongols and they end up sneak attacking your cities with at least 6 of them.. T_T

My vote as "other" means Carolean in this case.
