Total annihilation in 750 AD?

I'm Persians (regent). The iroquois declare war on me, my immortal attacks their city and whacks the sole spearman, and instantly all ~30 of their cities on the continent turn to rubble. So did the Zulu (!15 cities) who I bought off to be my allies after Z delcared war. The I's and Z's were each left with 1 capital city with a pop of 1. It rules to rule the world, but this is too cheap. Anyone else ever seen this?

It is one of the game settings. I can't recall which one (regicide?), but when it is set if you lose one city you lose them all. The reason they got a new city is you had respawn AI on, so they started over.

I must have done it by accident, because I've never used that play version. It really weirded me out

If you're playing C3C, and load a save, or scenario with that on, it adjusts your default settings.

Yes, and this is incredibly annoying. They should have made it so the default settings for Epic games were not changed by playing non-Epic games.

regicide is when the king unit dies, this is elimanation
