I just got C3C, and have installed it. But I want to have my old high scores from civ3. I tried copying the HighScores.cv3 to the varoious data folders, but it doesn't show up. I also started a game and retired so I could check if there came any new files, but that didn't happen. Anyone have experience from moving the high scores from civ3 to c3c?

I don't have the answer, but I too would like to be able to do this. In fact, I would also like to import my high score from my old PC version of Conquests to my new Mac version of Conquests. Any ideas?

I don't think you can move high scores from vanilla Civ3 to C3C because they're different games (although i haven't tried). You can probably move them from the PC version of C3C to the Mac version of C3C though. I don't recall if I specifically made allowances for reading little-endian high score files, but it seems likely.

C3C stores user files like high scores in your home directory, specifically Documents/Civilization 3 Complete (or Civilization 3 Play the World). This is where high score files would be created on the Mac.

It worked just fine copying the old high score file over. I found it out myself using fs_usage in the terminal, but I haven't had access for a while, so I couldn't post the solution after I found it.
