Anyone here ever made a scenario when you make a one single square of land, put one settler on it (make sure of course there are abundant resources nearby) and just play with that one city?

How'd it turn out?

The other is to make the same one-city and then max it out with EVERYTHING all technologies, wonders, everything!!!

??

Hello Nick,

I'm not sure if it is possible to do. Seems to me that there must be other player locations to start or the scenario will just crash. Perhaps the real question is what are the "smallest" squares of land that at least two players could start on. Also remember, you might want to have a square that will entice the barbarians -- it would be a bummer to have barbarians landing at your door step every time you moved a unit.

I can say that when I first started playing Civilization I, I had a cool experience. I started with one city and didn't know how to make any other cities at the time and it ended up being a 48 size under a despotism. I've never been able to replicate that. I wonder if anyone has done that under Civ II.

It makes you invulnurable untill marines. I remmember I was playing with respawning civs once, and one civ respawned on such a tile. I was in the middle ages (or close to it), and had conqured every other civ on them map. Very annoying!
