Turns 173-179

Here is our current neighborhood on the tech tree. We also do not have Engineering and Divine Right.

The path to Democracy (25) is Print Press (11) and Constitution (15). It will open some good civics and Statue of Liberty.

Our next choices will be:
Divine Right
Military Tradition
Constitution
Education
Print Press
Scientific Method
Engineering
Gunpowder

I'd like Constitution for Representation, or printing press for the commerce bonus.

Just took a sneak peek at the save. Printing press will give us at least 10 more gold and will put our GNP at about 70 which is almost average.

Surprisingly Loco accepted the resource trade; also Aloha gave up Mil Tradition.

We took care of some barbs, settled the prophet in Wheelville (+5 gpt), I did screw up though we got Astro after hitting retun this time so we can';t send it to Aloha until next turn.

We are in solid third place and all our graphs are going up, but slowly. If Piffle keeps fighting we may catch them.

Also started another settler in Glassport. I think we should keep expanding.

Screenshots of demographics and our active trade deals. Our science rate is much higher than others migh think by looking at our GNP, its good to be underestimated. Our science rate is 70% and can get to 80 with printing press.

Printing press definately sounds like a good idea. Whether we discover it or get it from Loco if they get it soon/have it

Chemistry (1800)
Engineering (1000)
Printing Press (1600)

for

Astronomy (2000)
Optics (600)
Education (1800)

(don't know if this is possible, but at least it's an option)

We need gunpowder before we can have chemistry, so I can't even tell who has it yet and education would take us 13 turns to get.

Depending on if Loco has printing (2280) we can that and gun (1710) for astro (2860) and optics (858) which is only about 270 points in our favor. We can balance it with something else.

Just a look before I play.

Looks like Loco got P Press in trade because they can not trade it this turn.

I was thinking that Education might be a good choice for us, rather than constitution. Our high production will let us put up universities and Oxford pretty quick.

Education sounds good now that we may be able to trade for PP.

We need to have good production (and time to set aside the cities' other needs) in five cities though, because the slowest of the five will determine how fast we'll be able to build Oxford's.

Sent Astro to Aloha. Didn't make any offers to Loco but think we should talk to them about trading P Press, we can give then 2 galleys to help equalize costs..

Killed the rest of the barbs. Started some observatories and education (11 turns).

Over the next 10 turns Innovia will gain 6 citizens, 2 new cities (need to pick another city location) and 11 cottage type improvments will grow.

Here is an idea of what we have going on.

Also if I don't here that Loco wants them I'm seriously thinking of disbanding 2 galleys.

I agree with the trade offer, better send that one out.
What about settling east (or west) of Port Tropicana?

I've had it with unit support costs. (10gold per turn! ) Unless I here from Loco next turn I'm disbanding 3 galleys, leaving us 2, one of wich will be sailing off to try and explore Piffle. I'd also like to disband a 4 xp archer. Upgrading galleys to galleons costs 110 gold, archer to longbow 95 gold.

Offered Astro to Loco for P Press, the trade is 600 beakers in their favor so I sugested they pay us back with 80 turns worth of resources (that comes to about 8 gpt for resources.) We can use deer right now. Side note B and O has been rebuilt.

Taj Mahol done in 7 (Free golden age) but we can rush it in 3 turns with 4 citizens. Is it worth it? I think so.

Left a barb warrior outside Magadan, maybe he'll kill Piffles guy for us. :goodjob:

How do you feel about sending one of the caravels out of the western ocean to explore Piffle's coast?

Education in 8 turns, lets if we can work out some deals with Loco or Aloha.

Welcome to all the new members, we are looking forward to hearing your views on our game. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

@Galleys: sure, disband them

@Taj: Are we ready for a Golden Age (all cities have a decent amount of citizens, not running too many specialists?) Maybe we should write another story :D

@Exploring Piffle: "Know your opponents!"

@New Members: You can go to www.gmail.com and enter our teams account (username: team.innovia password: innovate) to download the most recent save and check it out for yourself. You are allowed to look, and change citizen locations, but not moving units (same rules as in the normal DG).
All input is appreciated! (Questions are appreciated too).
