Hello everybody,

I am looking for some people for following scenario:

Perfect City Placement (PCP)
Civ: Organized (of course), no idea for the second treat
Map size: standard
Map type: Pangea or continents
Difficulty: Prince + Raging Barbs
Victory type: All

PCP Rules
Define N=3 or 4

1) There is no rule for the first city
2) The 2nd city must be placed exactly N tiles from the 1st one
3) City cannot be built closer than N tiles to any other city
4) Each new city must be built exactly N tiles from at leat 2 cites
5) If there is no place to obey rule 4 the new city can be found N tiles from any existing city
6) The road can be build between city A and B only if the distance between them is equal to N
7) Resource can be connected only to the closest city. The resource can be used only if lies within N-1 tiles from the city.
8) Conquered city may be held only if it obeys rules 3, 4 and 6. Otherwise it must be razed.

9) Techs: we are not turtles, but we don't make chaotic research. We can research techs from two rows at time. We cannot for example research Monarchy before having Horseback Riding, Priesthood, Monotheism and Bronze Working

Rule #9 is to discuss since it has nothing to do with PCP.

Sounds like an interesting variant. Takes dot-mapping to a WHOLE new level.

I'd be willing to give this one a shot. Sign me up.

Looks like here are our choices for a second trait:

Spiritual - Asoka
Financial - Washington
Industrius - Roosevelt
Philisophical - Mao Zedong
Aggressive - Tokagowa
Expansive - Julius Ceasar

I think going with expansive might fit the theme. we want to expand in our perfection...

I'm still a noob, but I am interested.

Basically does the rules mean, no city overlap and the new city's big fat cross has to touch another city's big fat cross?

If you do continents, you couldn't keep any city outside your continent though, according to your rules. Wouldn't it be better to play pangea for this variant?

There is nothing about overlapping. I think though taking N=4 eliminates overlapping, but I didn' analyzed it yet.
And if you build a city on the new continent or island you just apply the rule #1 and the rule #2 for the next city.

About the civ: I thought about Expansive or Financial, so Jules seems promising :).
