unable to change name from :]

for the whole time that i own civ 5 i gave up on playing muti because i cant change my name from :] also thats the only thing i can type, but i can see other text from other players fine. I have given up on trying. any help is welcome its better then me rage quiting on trying to fix it.

Try looking in config.ini, search for in-game alias, and change it to something you desire. Try to not use non-standard characters.

Also you can try change you nick-name on steam, if you also got non-standar characters.
