Units not appearing?

I started up a game on CIV4BTS but for some reason the units dont show up, I can click on them and interact with them, but I just cant see them. Does anyone have any idea on what could be wrong?

non of the buttons above the minimap make any difference... I'll try reinstalling and see if that fixes the problem
