unloading armies

I don't know if this is already knowned: my 8 year old son discovered a way to unload units from an army.
When selected an army you click an unit within the army.
With the arrow-keys you can move the unit out off the army.
This unit can be replaced by an other. There must allways be
at least two units present in the army, otherwise the game
will crash.

What version are we talking about here? If I remember correctly, Firaxis had fixed this bug a long time ago.

I have UK versions CIV 1.29 and PTW 1.14
It works in PTW 1.14 but not in CIV 1.29

Yes, this is a PTW bug and it is not allowed in the games. I believe it was fixed in the v1.21 patch.

If only armies can unload so that the units can be upgraded or new units can join
