first off, sorry if this problem has been brought up somewhere else, but i could not find any links to this particular problem, second im no stranger to the concept of civ4 bts and vassals but this is just frustrating.
im doing an island hop map with my friends and i make a vassal just off shore to me, and eventually another one a little farther away, both a lot dumber/smaller then me so i feed them tech for a while. later in the game since i had so many enemies i could not effectively trade with anyone on the board but my vassals were having more success trading with the technology i handed them.
upon asking for the technology off of them (demanding) they not only refuse, but i do not get the option to declare war on them for defying. Instead on only get the option 'could you spare this for a friend'. My vassals get smarter then me even though i am much stronger because of their tech trading ability and i just lost interest in the game.
why am i only giving the option of demanding politely and gettign denied, rather then getting denied and crushing them for it?
any help would be great
