You start in 4000 BC, if you start close by another civ and they don't expand much it's very possible to destroy them by 3250 BC.

I assume you located Rome much later, as 3250 seems early for a Civ to have completed the lighthouse

yes i found the romans by going across the south pole and a little later found rome i standed on their pheasant since they were building the great wall they though they could but i beat them to it. but standing on their bird gave me more time. i stole mapmaking and walked over buit some towns to build legions and took their fortress near rome to build forces to take them i later at this time they only had 4 cities i trapped on the pennilsya i destroyed there civilization. that game was so easy as usual for diety level. but this was before discovered the secret weapons that i use which increase my tatics and defesne beyond human comperhension. also my capital had 3 whales really good to have that super science city in a monarchy to help quickley get demoaracy and go to fundy.
