Video Card Question

I have a Core 2 Duo E6750 2.67 GHz and an 8800 Gt 512 meg video card. Civ 5 currently runs ok at 1280 x 1024.

I am planning to upgrade to a widescreen monitor. Either 1680x1050 or 1920x1200. Will this setup still work. If not what video card around $150 would you recommend to go with this system.

It will work. With the 1920x1200 res the 8800GT 512MB might run out of VRAM if you use high AA levels, this could result in a severely reduced framerate in some situations. The 8800s need more VRAM in any given situation than other cards.
The most cost-effective card for Civ5 at around $150 is the GTX460-768MB.

This HD 5830 is just $152 after a rebate and comes with Modern Warfare 2 and a 8GB flash drive. Anyway, I was jumping on this deal to upgrade from 9500gt and thought I might share.
