Video problems!

I have been experiencing the following problem for a couple of days now and i don't know how to fix it:
Whenever i try to play a video file with any of my players (win media player, real player) there is no video, only sound! Any idea what's the problem?

Possibly a codec problem. Unless you've updated them recently you probably need new ones.

So, what codecs do i need to download? I haven't really done it before! I have problems with my MPEG files and i use Win Media player and real player.

Get the k-lite codec pack in his link. Almost everything you need is there.
I also suggest VLC for fickle files that won't play with the codec pack.

Do you know how to set the video accelaration setting for all the media players? I have lowered this setting in WMP and everything is fine now but i can't find how to set it in Real Player though.

I never use Real Player.
