This is the OFFICIAL poll to the moderators of civfanatics...to please remove that darn boring blight on the face of civfanatics.com: the insanely banal 'Screenshot of the Day'. :sleep:

This should belong in Site Feedback, where we can all argue whether to keep or discard the Screenshot of the Day

I'm not sure what you mean by "make the home page happen again" but I like the screenshot of the day and I want to keep it.

I second that. And before our moderators in their benevolent mood close or move this thread to site feedback, I cast my vote to make sure Edmund suffers a miserable defeat and his unsavoury suggestion be case aside with a stunning majority of votes.
 
Of course we should keep the SOTD! SOTD is an excellent way of visualising the uncommon events that happen in a civgame so all can see it. Not everyone has the time to play the game enough to witness these rare events for themselves.
 
LOL, Now taking bets on how long it takes Ed to be banned. And for the record, I really like the SOTD.

EDIT: Not to mention your poll is stacked (which is why I did not bother voting). No matter how you vote, it could be interpreted as wanting to get rid of the SOTD. The title of the thread says to vote "no" (and by your response, one would reasonably assume that would be a vote to get rid of it. But the question sounds like a "yes" vote is to get rid of it.

i think your alone in this ed. anyway,you are not forced to look at it if you dont want. they dont force you.
 
I personally like it. Gives me a chance to see what others are doing in there game.

Unless it's a full screenshot, chances are that it's not likely that it'll be posted. I'm pretty sure of that because every screenshot was a full one, except two of them. One was "Make more Friends!" where the submitter edited it a little bit. The other...it may have been full.

I was more sure of this when I submitted, for the first time, a full screenshot (before I was submitting odd-sized ones), and the next day it got in! (Friday 12/27/02)

Moderators have nothing to do with it. It is the eclusive province of the owner & Admin, Thunderfall.
What moderators do is move threads to the correct forum. As Chieftess says, this one belongs in feedback.
 
Turner, your sig is too long, please decrease it to 5 lines in length(or the equivelant of 5 normal lines in length if you add the size=1 tag. (put in [ and ] and then a /size enclosed in [ and ] at the end.

OT: I like the screenshot of the day.

TF said somewhere that he has lots of them stacked up. Those of you waiting to see yours... may just have to wait a little longer (One I sent in wasn't shown for abo0ut two weeks) :)
 
I like the SOTDs too - a great way to observe the game funnies experienced by other players. :) And can learn quite a bit fr comments by posters in the attached thread. :)
 
It should stay! Most of them are good, but I don't really like some of them. It should stay, and be taken down when we run out of ideas, which will be in a LONG time.

I'm surprised, no modding yet...:hmm:
