i play warhammer. who submitted the athel loren scenario? is it any good. i play wood elves my self. how did you get the units on civ to be exactly like they are miniature style? does anyone else here play warhammer? it would be more realistic i think if it was skaven or orcs invading athel loren.

thing about it is that chaos armies cant stay in the "real world" for long, so therefore, cant sustain a lasting campaign.

well, you must be right, i don't know much about warhammer, i was just trying to persuade my bros to play civ2

Just to spite the Citadel hard liners, make an army out of cardboard. All you need is the bases of the minatures to play. You could make an army that would be worth hundred of dollars, out of your Civ 3 box :)

YEY warhammer fans:):)

I collect orks and Blood angels in 40K and orcs + goblins in warhammer

Definetly skaven for the invasion I feel:goodjob:

I collect CHAOS
for Fantasy and TAU for 40K

I HATE WARHAMMER.  :slay:

Once upon a time I could walk into Games Workshop and buy any AD&D equipment I needed. Minatures, Modules, Handbooks, anything I wanted.

Then, like a plauge, Warhammer arrived. It had a shelf of its own, but it was not happy. Like a horrid disease it infected the minds of the workers, who saw fit to give it another shelf, and another, and another, until one day:

"Huh, where's the D&D minatures?"
"I'm sorry, we don't do them any more."
"What about modules?"
"Sorry, nope."

This conversation caused the break-up of my gaming group, and now, now, we hardly see each other. A beautiful friendship, gone. FOREVER.

wow that was an old post. hmm. ive started collecting dwarfs. and, ive realized the minis take one hella long time to paint. and, its pretty boring. but, yea, ive thought of the cardboard thing.:D you could just use coins, too.

i used to have a wood elves army;);), but decided to go dwarfs instead.

you can get the minis for cheap at:

thewarstore.com

20-30% off. plus, the site is pretty entertaining.

anyone here member of portent forums?

Used to play Warhammer FRPG, but never had any minatures for it. Interesting system, but probably different to the Warhammer you lot are on about.
