G'day,

Just bought Warlords, expected it wouldn't work. And it didn't. Nothing does work on first try nowadays...

Problem:

Civ 4 lis running without any problems up to patch 1.09, from 1.52 upwards it won't start anymore, start stopps at 'init xml' (or later, engine?), bug:

Exactly the same happens with Warlords now. Any recommendations?

Try to download the dll, e.g. here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr71. I am not sure if it will help, worth trying.

well, I found a workaround, at least I thought so... but Warlords is the buggies crap I ever had in my hands, just now, playing Persions I cannot change my Government...

As this is not the only problem I have with this game I just deleted it from my System. Once and for all.

I think I will never buy a game again, and definitely NOT from those Take2 Losers.

I had enough through the last years spending lots of money for games that won't fully work at all. I **** on the Computergamesindustry overall. Sorry.
