Well recently I have recieved an IBM laptop, which has one of those funky button things which are very useful, perticularly for long typing cause your hands are already near the "mouse".

However mouses often give good accuracy, and a much more satisfying motion.

Those crazy touchpads i just generally dispise cause they are impossible to accurately move and I, continually, have problems with setting my finger down when the cursor is over a button and acidently pressing it.

As such i like the button cursor movers? What do you all think?

For a laptop the button is infinetly better than the touchpad. Using a touchpad is like trying to shave with a piece of broken glass.

Trackballs are just to awkward for most things, so the optical/laser mouse remains superior.

mouse, i hate touchpads, and thoes stupid button things in the middle of the keyboard

I'm using a laptop right now and I most definatly have a regular mouse plugged in. I only use the touch pad if I'm laying in bed with the laptop on my knee. I still don't know why the track ball went out of fashion, it seemed the best tool for the job.

I like the mouse, although I wouldn't mind trying one with a builting track ball. Logitec makes some interesting ones of that variety.

Love my Logitech cordless, eight button, wheel, trackball. Best thing since sliced bread.

Once you use one you won't ever want a regular mouse again.

What exactly was the best thing before sliced bread?

It most certainly looks beautiful.

I don't have a trackball here and college and I'm so angry because I can't do graphics editing as good.
